In 3C at Grove Junior Mixed infants Mrs Cripps banned the word nice from all her pupils vocabularies, I was 9 years old. I had a crush on Mrs Cripps and was very flustered the day she chose to sit at our table for lunch. We were having meat and two veg, with boiled potatoes. I speared a potato and put it in my mouth whole, I may as well have put strontium 90 in my mouth, the core temperature of that particular root vegetable was over 200 degrees and to this day I bear the internal scars . For fear of losing Mrs Cripps’ heart forever, I could not simply spit the potato out, instead I opted to cough it into my hand, disposing of the item under the table. All was well apart from the inability to talk through my injuries, but apart from rather watery eyes and red cheeks I had rescued the moment. Until, that is, Mrs Crips rose up from the table like the gorgeous Rubenesk women she was only to crash to the floor having slipped on a discarded potato.
What does all of this mean? People Have been nice to me this week. And it is Jolly nice. So I recount the above story and rejoyce in the use of the word nice. I have been rewarded with an award for my services to blogging.![]()
I’ve been schmoozed by a schmoozer with the Power of Schmooze.
It’s the Power of Schmoozing I’m awarded for using.
Now I’m using this Power of Schmooze to amuse!
This could get confusing with all of this schmoozing.
The Power of Schmooze is not one to abuse.
Abuse and the Power of Schmooze will I lose.
Award more schmoozes the Power of Schmooze!
That’s best way of schmoozing. Now who should I choose?
I’ll give it to schmoozers who schmooze at their choosing.
It’s the Power of Schmoozing each of these schmoozers are using.
(Just think of the friends a non-schmoozer is losing)
I will on my next post add five people I think deserve the award. I wa nominated by Wonder Woman who is a great writer, you can view her fantastic blog disjointed intelligence or the original post.
This is what she said about me
Jonathan Glazier, I’m ashamed to say that I don’t know Jonathan very well. I know he’s a great schmoozer, and I love reading what he has to write. Now, with both of us having the official Power to Schmooze, I’m sure we’ll be Schmoozing pals in no time.

I have also had reviews for a couple of my other sites, people have been nice to me. Perhaps it is because I have read “The Secret”? I would have never thought a dyslexic who could barely write would have ever received any recognition of his writing ability.!
